WOODBLOCK PRINTING
Woodblock Printing from our Traditional Handicrafts is the process of transferring motifs to the fabric by molding procedure. The original name of Woodblock Printing is called as "Yazmacılık”, and the person who performs it as the "Master of Wooden Printing (Yazmacı)".
Kaynaklara göre ilk çalışmalar 600, 700 yıl önce başlayıp günümüze kadar ulaşmıştır.
There are 3 important factors in printing;
1- Printing Plate; The motifs are prepared by drawing on the dry linden tree and carving them with special knife sets.
2- Paint; In the past, root dye was used in this study, but due to the depletion of today's natural resources, fabric dye is used instead in addition to aniline or acreline dye.
3- Fabric; A variety of cotton fabrics are preferred.
